Itinerary
Day 1 : New Delhi to Leh Travel by Flight.
Morning transfer to domestic airport to board flight for Leh (3500 M), situated on the banks of the river Indus. Our local executive will assist your check in at Leh Hotel. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to high altitude and low oxygen levels in Leh. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 2 : Leh
After breakfast our local tour guide will take you on half day tour of Shanti Stupa, Leh palace, Leh Gompa, and bazaar. After lunch short trip to Spituk, Phyang and Shankar Gompas. Night stay at Leh.
Day 3 : Leh
Morning at about 10:00 hours start for the tour to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Gompas. Evening free for leisure activities. Night stay at Leh.
Day 4 : Leh - Uleytokpo
Morning drive to Uleytokpo while visiting Basgo Castle and Likir gompa on the way. After lunch visit Alchi Gompa. Alchi Gompa is situated on the bank of the river Indus. It is founded by Ringchen Zangpo, the great translator. Alchi Gompa displays a Kashmiri influence in its art and architecture. It contains many beautiful images of Buddha. Overnight stay at Uley deluxe camp.
Day 5 : Uleytokpo - Lamayuru - Uleytokpo
Today you will go for a full day excursion tour to Lamayuru. We will take a packed lunch during this trip. Visit Lamayuru gompa. It is located on a high rocky outcrop. The monastery has many Thangka paintings on its wall. On your way back to Uleytokpo we will visit Resong monastery. Overnight stay Uley camp.
Day 6 : Uleytokpo - Leh
Morning at about 10:00 hours drive back to Leh. Arrive and check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Night stay at Leh.
Day 7 : Leh
This full day will be for rest and you can avail number of leisure activities available at your hotel of stay. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 8 : Leh - Nubra
On this day of your Ladakh cultural tour package you will drive to Nubra Valley. Packed lunch will be taken for this long journey. During this trip you will cross the highest motorable road at the Khardungla pass ( 5570 m). Evening visit to the famous Samasthanling gompa at sumur.Overnight stay at camp.
Day 9 : Nubra
After breakfast start of the full day excursion trip to Tegar, Hunder and Diskit monasteries. Packed lunch will be carried. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 10 : Nubra - Leh
After breakfast drive back to Leh. Evening free for the leisure activities or you can walk across the local Bazaars of Leh. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 11 : Leh to New Delhi
