The palace was built about 120 years back by younger brother of Bharatpur ruler Maharaja Ram Singh. Architecture of the palace is in Rajput-Mughal style, having beautifully arched balconies and domes. The palace is converted into a heritage hotel known as laxmi vilas palace. The hotel is spread over more than 50 acres and offers luxurious accommodation to travelers coming to visit Bharatpur.
